Los 12 pa\u00edses que negocian el Trans-Pacific Partnership: Summary of U.S<\/a>\u00a0 announced they had reached an agreement on October 5, 2015. Since Congress passed and the President signed into law Trade Promotion Authority earlier this year, the agreement must be considered on a defined timeline and given an up or down vote in Congress. TPP member countries include the United States, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam.<\/p>

Tras cinco a\u00f1os de discusiones, los 12 pa\u00edses que negociaban el TPP anunciaron el 5 de octubre que hab\u00edan ultimado un amplio acuerdo comercial internacional. El Representante de Comercio de Estados Unidos (USTR) calcula que el acuerdo impulsar\u00e1 las exportaciones estadounidenses hasta en 142.000 millones de d\u00f3lares, har\u00e1 crecer los ingresos de Estados Unidos en 89.000 millones de d\u00f3lares y aumentar\u00e1 la inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa en empresas estadounidenses en 54.000 millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>

La Asociaci\u00f3n Transpac\u00edfica reducir\u00e1 o eliminar\u00e1 miles de aranceles y otras barreras para las empresas estadounidenses, tanto grandes como peque\u00f1as, que accedan a nuevos mercados. El USTR predice que aumentar\u00e1 las exportaciones en un 4,4%, incrementar\u00e1 el PIB en 77.000 millones de d\u00f3lares e impulsar\u00e1 la inversi\u00f3n extranjera directa en empresas estadounidenses. El TPP tambi\u00e9n contiene disposiciones que protegen los derechos de propiedad intelectual de las empresas en el extranjero y normas laborales y medioambientales de obligado cumplimiento. El nuevo acuerdo permitir\u00e1 a EE.UU. y a otros pa\u00edses miembros establecer las normas para el comercio en la cuenca del Pac\u00edfico antes que China, que tambi\u00e9n ha estado negociando nuevos acuerdos comerciales con sus vecinos de Asia Oriental.<\/span><\/p>

El acuerdo es amplio: los negociadores elaboraron 30 cap\u00edtulos diferentes para resolver cuestiones como el acceso al mercado, los derechos de propiedad intelectual, las normas laborales, las empresas estatales y la compatibilidad normativa. El TPP pretende ser un \u00abacuerdo vivo\u00bb que pueda dar cabida tanto a nuevas cuestiones comerciales como a nuevos miembros.
